Send a drawing, a sample, or a description of the machining problem. Where a drawing is not available, the material, the feature and the tolerance are enough to start.

What we need in order to quote

	Detail
Workpiece material and hardness	Grade and condition, for example Inconel 718 solution treated, or 4140 at 32 HRC
Feature and dimensions	Diameter, depth, corner radius, thread form, profile geometry
Tolerance	On diameter, on form, and on surface finish where it is critical
Machine and holding	Spindle interface, available shank length, through-coolant pressure if used
Quantity and repeat interval	First order quantity and expected reorder frequency

Non-standard tooling is produced against a drawing you approve in writing before production starts, and ships with an inspection report against that drawing.
