Flat bottom drills
Solid carbide drills with a flat point, for holes that need a flat floor rather than a drill-point cone. The standard range covers Φ1–16 mm; other diameters are made to order.

Questions about this range
Can a flat bottom drill replace an end mill for a flat-floored hole?
For many blind holes, yes: it drills the hole and the flat floor in one pass. For wide pockets or side milling, use an end mill.
